The Office of the Presidency of the Republic discussed with the permanent UN representative for Iraq in Rome, Ambassador Safia Al-Suhail, today, Thursday, the visit of the Pope of the Vatican to Iraq, while it was agreed to maintain intellectual and cultural communication with various international institutions to present the original Iraqi art in a manner befitting its civilization and honorable history.

The media office of the Presidency of the Republic said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "The President of the Presidency of the Republic, Muhannad Hussam al-Din, received today, the permanent UN representative for Iraq in Rome, Ambassador Safia Al-Suhail, in the presence of a number of directors general," indicating that "the preparations were discussed. The visit of the Pope of the Vatican to Iraq as a message of peace and love consistent with the concepts that have long been presented by the references of peace in Iraq, to ​​reject violence and terrorism, and to spread the spirit of tolerance and acceptance of others.
