Minister of Health and Environment Hassan Al-Tamimi confirmed that Iraq has not recorded any infection with the new strain of Corona, while indicating that work will start in the new laboratories.

"The citizens are not interested in health measures despite the high number of injuries, and there is almost a lack of wearing a mask, and gatherings are taking place constantly," Al-Tamimi said in a statement to the Iraqi News Agency.

He added, "We warn of days that will be harsh due to the complacency of citizens and their lack of commitment to procedures and instructions to prevent Corona virus," noting that "European countries and some neighboring countries have entered into complete closure."

Al-Tamimi added that "there are recommendations and procedures that will be submitted to the Supreme Committee that will prevent the spread of the epidemic," noting that "the implementation of health measures requires the commitment of the citizen, and new recommendations will be issued according to the situation, whether in state institutions or in the streets, and all options are presented to the Ministry of Health."

And the Minister of Health stated that "on the side of Karkh, Najaf, Karbala, Nasiriyah, Maysan, and Kut, we notice the rise continues, and some areas are witnessing an increase in critical and dangerous cases." Important decisions that will reduce the spread
